Then in 1999 Saint released a full length entitled "The Perfect Life" which was more of a modern sound with a couple of classic sounding Saint songs.Later that year and into the new millenium Saint would work along with M8 Distribution to re-issue "Warriors of the Son" with The Gentiles demo, Too Late for Living and "Times End" with a live show from Cornerstone 1986. Waiting five years between releases has been a huge payoff in this regard. “The Fall” drives poundingly with its headbanging tempo and surprising guitar melodies.

However, album closer "God is God" is a tour de force. After dominating Christian metal in the 80's, they reformed in 1999 and self-released albums in 2004, 2006 and then Crime Scene Earth in 2008. The band signed with Retroactive Records in 2009 and agreed to have the label re-release this 2008 classic. However, this new Retroactive Records version has been re-titled, Crime Scene Earth 2.0, as the album has had many parts completely re-recorded as well as being remixed and remastered. CSE 2.0 also features stunning, all-new artwork by extraordinary artist, Rex Zachary (Liberty N? Justice, Tourniquet, Ultimatum), which is far superior to the original release.

On the original release, the classic voice of Saint, the immortal golden-throated Josh Kramer, sang on only three tracks. extra element of heaviness a second guitarist might lend is not missing.

That said, the only thing we might lose without Harrington is an element of musical depth. Now, what I mean here is that in addition to being a first rate soloist, Harrington is also quite the able songwriter, having helped compose many of my favorite Saint tunes, including “Ryders” symphonic touch, leads the way to “The Blade”. Classic Saint in the truest sense of the word, “The Blade” proves an impassioned track with its crushing low end and proclivity on the astringent side of things. Despite the weighty milieu, your attention will be riveted by the forthright hook and Johnson’s razor-edged leads in abundance.

A more upbeat direction is taken on “To The Cross”. This one brings a profusion of energy, reflected in its charged verses and terse but spirited chorus upheld by backing vocals guttural as they get. Adding to the exuberant scene is Brost, who literally goes all out behind the drum kit. “To The Cross” touches upon the second coming:

The darkened class="style3">“Hell Train” slows things to a rumbling mid-paced snarl. Low-key, dark and strapping, this one kicks up a storm of insolence with its forceful bass lines and Josh Kramer’s
