The Overseer - Rest and Let Go (NEW-CD) 2014 SOLID STATE - CHRISTIAN METAL XIAN

Drawing inspiration from likeminded artists such as THRICE, UNDEROATH and AS I LAY DYING, THE OVERSEER delivers hard-hitting, uncompromising hard rock that belies the members' young age. This isn't "cash in on the latest trend" music, it's "sweat and tears" hard rock, with a little blood thrown in for good measure.

Rest And Let Go brings a sound similar to their prior release and at times shares sounds reminiscent of groups like Underoath, Dead Poetic, and earlier Blindside. The Overseer definitely doesn't disappoint or suffer any sort of sophomore slump with Rest And Let Go. As demonstrated on their debut, the musicality is top notch, and the vocals are spot on.

The Overseer is a Christian metal band from Bentonville, Arkansas started in 2007. They released an independent EP in 2010 entitled The Overseer, and two successive studio albums with their label Solid State Records entitled We Search, We Dig (2012) and Rest and Let Go (2014).
