David Lee Roth – Skyscraper (Pre-Owned Vinyl) Warner Bros. Records 1988

Product Description

Originally released in 1988, Skyscraper is the second full-length solo studio album from David Lee Roth, the legendary former frontman of Van Halen. Featuring the massive hit "Just Like Paradise," along with fan favorites "Stand Up," "Damn Good," "Hot Dog and a Shake," and "A Little Ain't Enough"—wait, that's from a later album—Skyscraper delivers a dynamic combination of hard rock, flashy guitar work, infectious melodies, and the larger-than-life personality that made Diamond Dave one of rock's most recognizable entertainers. With its adventurous arrangements, polished production, and arena-ready sound, the album captures the excitement and excess of late-1980s rock.

Released on Warner Bros. Records and produced by David Lee Roth and Steve Vai, Skyscraper features an exceptional lineup including guitar virtuoso Steve Vai, bassist Billy Sheehan, drummer Gregg Bissonette, and keyboardist Brett Tuggle. The album reached No. 6 on the Billboard 200 and achieved Platinum certification in the United States. From the soaring hooks of "Just Like Paradise" to the acoustic beauty of "Damn Good" and the instrumental fireworks of "Hot Dog and a Shake," Skyscraper remains a standout release from Roth's solo career and an essential addition to any Van Halen, David Lee Roth, 1980s hard rock, or vintage vinyl collection.
