Pat Benatar – Tropico (Pre-Owned Vinyl) Chrysalis 1984

Product Description

Originally released in 1984, Tropico is Pat Benatar's fifth studio album and one of the most distinctive recordings of her celebrated career. Moving beyond the hard-driving rock sound that defined her earlier albums, Benatar embraced a more atmospheric, melodic, and sophisticated approach, blending powerful rock performances with new wave influences, lush synthesizers, and emotionally charged songwriting. Featuring the unforgettable hit "We Belong," along with fan favorites "Ooh Ooh Song," "Painted Desert," and "Outlaw Blues," the album showcases Benatar's extraordinary vocal range and remarkable ability to deliver both soaring rock anthems and intimate ballads.

Released on Chrysalis Records and produced by Neil Giraldo and Peter Coleman, Tropico features Benatar alongside her longtime musical partner and guitarist Neil Giraldo. The album reached No. 14 on the Billboard 200 and earned platinum certification in the United States. From the uplifting, harmony-rich chorus of "We Belong" to the infectious energy of "Ooh Ooh Song," Tropico captures an important chapter in Benatar's evolution as an artist. Featuring distinctive tropical-inspired cover artwork, this classic 1984 release is an essential addition to any female-fronted rock, classic rock, new wave, or vintage vinyl collection.
