There are tens of thousands of Christian Bands and artist out today.  However it wasn't but about 25-30 years ago during the mid to early 80's that there were literally only a few dozen Christian bands, and even less Christian Rock and Metal Bands.  Early on there were artist like Resurrection Band, Love Song, Larry Norman, Sweet Comfort, 2nd Chapter of Acts, Randy Stonehill and others, but it wasn't till Cornerstone Festival launched and started to give a stage and presence for Christian Metal Bands. Yes there were other festivals as well but Cornerstone Festival put on by JEPUSA (Jesus People USA) started out of the Wilson Ave. Resurrection Band community in Chicago, that bands like Barren Cross, Bloodgood, Barnabas, Jerusalem, Shout, Deliverance, Guardian, Holy Soldier, Believer, Undercover, 77's, and other really found a home.  Being from Chicago, most of my experience growing up was attending this great festival which led me to some of the greatest music.

Here is my list of 15 of the Must Own Christian Metal Albums from yesterday and today.   It was nearly impossible for me to narrow it down, but I did it.  In no particular order, here it goes.
