1987 saw Christian heavy metal music launch itself onto the world's main stage. Heavy metal as a
genre was back in vogue and amidst the usual "sex, drugs and rock 'n roll" clichés a new message
was sounding; the message of hope that comes only through Jesus Christ. 5 years before, circa
1982, there was no such thing as Christians playing heavy metal. But by 1987 with the Los Angeles
based Stryper leading the charge, supported by Bloodgood and Barren Cross there were videos on
MTV, interviews in magazines around the world, concert tours and music festivals all proclaiming the
name of Jesus to a crunching beat.
In the midst of this, metal bands began springing up all across the United States and Europe to pro-
claim the name of Christ. One of those bands was the Albuquerque based five piece outfit, Cross.
Cross' music was steeped in the tradition of early Iron Maiden, Metallica and Fates Warning, musi-
cally complex with time and key signature changes and epic length tracks. Cross differentiated
themselves by not only their lyrics, but by the wall of sound choruses found in their compositions,
On the strength of their demo "Metal From Above" Cross signed to King Klassic Records. Money
failed to materialize to record their debut release and Cross disbanded shortly thereafter. 20 years
of dreams later you now hold in your hands what they had anticipated so many years ago. So fire up
the CD player, crank the volume up to 11 and enjoy the progressive, non-commercial metal we rev-
eled in so long ago.
Every Pre-Owned CD is shipped in original packaging and is guaranteed to play perfectly. On some occasions we will replace the jewel case if the case does not hold the item correctly. On occasion CDs may not play in your CD player but 99.99% of the time it will play without any issue. Some pre-owned CDs may have jewel case cracks or abrasions or missing teeth that hold the CD in. We do not guarantee jewel cases will show up new. Those should be replaced at your own expense. They can easily be purchased for about .99 each. The CD condition is usually listed above using the standard G=Good, VG=Very Good, VG+, NM=Near Mint, etc. We don't list open CDs as mint. NM is the best grade we will give a used/pre-owned CD regardless of how perfect it looks. If your product does meet your expectations, please contact us immediately.

We do not sell CDRs or Syntax Creative that you get when you order CDs via print on demand from Amazon, yes those are also CDRs.
