The Petra-filled rock film is coming home to fans

If you missed Beyond Belief in theaters, you haven't missed your chance to see it.

The inspiring 1980s rock drama is coming to DVD and Blu-ray from Girder Music, giving fans the opportunity to finally experience the film at home — and giving those who saw it in theaters a chance to add it to their collection.

Set against the backdrop of 1980s rock and Christian music, Beyond Belief follows Andy, a teenage rocker chasing his dream of making it big while dealing with the loss of his father. When a mysterious voice tells him to "run," Andy's journey takes an unexpected turn, forcing him to confront his dreams, his faith, and the direction his life is headed.

And then there's Petra.

Andy and his band, Jericho, are competing in a battle of the bands with an incredible prize on the line: the chance to open for Petra.

For longtime Petra fans, that's where things get especially exciting. Bob Hartman and John Schlitt both make cameo appearances in the film, and Petra's music plays an important role throughout the story.

This isn't simply a movie that happens to feature a Petra song. Petra is part of the world of Beyond Belief — making the film a particularly special experience for anyone who grew up with the band's music.

The film stars Carson Lueders, James C. Burns, Debby Gerber, Ryan Barnes, and Libby Smallbone, bringing Andy's story and the world of Beyond Belief to life.

The theatrical release gave audiences the opportunity to see Beyond Belief on the big screen, but now the movie is making its way into the homes of fans everywhere.
