Description

Yes, of course it includes a 12x18" poster just like all the rest of them. Petra is world's more beloved Christian rock band and deserves the best. It deserves the Girder Treatment.  Mastered for Vinyl, 2 sided full color insert with lyrics and poster all on a crystal clear vinyl with blue splatter.

Washes Whiter Than was Petra's 3rd album originally releases 45 years ago in 1979. The album an introduced us to new up and coming singer called Greg X. Volz. It also introduced us to Rob Frazier and if you've been following our Legends of Rock series, you'll know that we released remastered CDs of both of Rob's first two solo albums.  Both Rob and Greg handled lead vocals for the album and even sang on both “I'm Thankful,” as well as “Yahweh Love.”  The band was intentional about creating a soft radio friendly album as their two previous albums were too hard/heavy for Christian radio in the 70s which was mellow. Thankfully, songs like “Morning Star” and “Magic Words” still rock, and musically it is a masterpiece and holds its rightful place among other albums. The album art was pretty cool too, originally created to look like a soapbox thanks to George Werth. Although there was no song called Washes Whiter Than, we clearly knew after listening to it, that Jesus washes our sins away.

PETRA's 3rd album .. new, improoved ...

After PETRA released their first two albums, the members changed and Greg X. Volz joined.

This step was an opener for their later album "Never Say Die" which formed their early style with singer Greg X. Volz.

Girder managed to re-release the Vinyl and also put all songs on CD which never happened before in full length.

This Vinyl looks very nice and also its poster.

I framed all posters with non-reflecting glas for a galery. I like the unique size and let the frames produce in the exact size of these.

The songs of this album are very Jesus freaky dtyle and you can recognize Bob's gutar work and the beginning of a unique style which formed the early PETRA. Abdolutely worth having.

Awesome as always!

Girder always does a fantastic job remastering these CDs and vinyl records, and that's no different here. It's cool to see another clear splatter vinyl like Back to the Street! Definitely one of Petra's most underrated albums. You can't go wrong here.
