Album Description

Flowers is the ninth full-length from The Devil Wears Prada—an ambitious, emotionally wrought journey through growth and grief, chaos and calm. Released November 14, 2025 on Solid State Records, the album balances the band’s signature heaviness and melodic daring with newfound lyrical vulnerability.

From the opening track “That Same Place” to the closing “My Paradise,” Flowers blooms with contrast: moments of introspective melancholy, lightning-sharp breakdowns, and soaring emotional release. The double single rollout—“Where The Flowers Never Grow” and “Wave”—already teased the album’s duality: anthemic and atmospheric, bruised yet hopeful.

Guitarist Jeremy DePoyster describes Flowers as “20 years into a journey. The highs, the lows, a reckoning with what it means to be human catapulting through the chaos life throws at us continually.” He further explains that Flowers encapsulates “personal highs and lows,” an attempt to heal, to connect, to reckon with darkness even when the outward trappings of success shine bright.

Lyrically, Flowers doesn’t hide the scars. In “Where The Flowers Never Grow,” the band confronts inner voids despite external triumphs—and in “Wave,” they explore the calm after storms. Throughout, the album moves with intention: from delicate, piano-tinged openings to crushing, cathartic crescendos.

Musically, Flowers leans into the band’s evolution: retaining the metalcore ferocity fans expect, but also pushing into more textured, spacious moments. It’s their most honest, heartfelt release yet—raw in its admission of struggle, bold in charting a path forward.

In short, Flowers is a reckoning and a rebirth. It’s The Devil Wears Prada at a mature apex—no longer hiding wounds, but letting them bloom.
