2021 marks the 40th anniversary of Never Say Die and 2022 will mark Petra's 50th Anniversary.

Originally released in 1983. If there was an album that might have influenced an entire Christian rock culture, look no further than Not of This World, the band’s 5th album. By 1983, Petra was running on rocket fuel. Not of This World proved to every creature on earth (and beyond) what a great rock album should sound like and while some Christian bands were content with using Christian cliches, Petra had more of an interest in providing hope. It's no surprise looking back at why Petra reached an entire generation. They proved that you could have an album that rocked but also provided a message of hope, and none more powerful than their song “Grave Robber.” Just take a moment and read these lyrics...

Girder goes "above and beyond" for "Not of this World"

Two big things: 1) Girder will always bring you "top notch" in re-issues of CDs and vinyl. 2) Petra's "Not Of This World" is my favorite Classic Petra release and this album is my favorite "classic" Legends of Rock album ever.

With that said: You can count on Greg and team to go "above and beyond" when remastering projects. I couldn't pass on this one. I had the privilege of chatting with Greg and letting him know this. Even though for convenience I listen to CD and digital, I remember vinyl always had a "warmth" that the CD format doesn't have. True audiophiles will get this. I saw this Petra release and was glad to be able to get a remaining copy.

From start to finish from the artwork, the "swirl" LP, the special poster, those were beginning points to a great remaster. I had to "dig out" my turntable and give this a true "spin." Man, talk about a great experience.

This is gonna be a collectors item for me. So, with my favorite Petra LP, and the hard work from Girder Music, you can't go wrong. So, buy in confidence from Girder. Greg and the team are professional, honest, and always will stand by their customers. Look around at their site and you'll find something that has been given the "coveted" Girder treatment!

Girder Rocks this Petra Re-issues

Not of this world is one of my favorite Petra records of all time so when I heard they were reissuing this, I had to have it. I was not disappointed. The remastered sound is incredible. Scott Waters did a great job on the graphics and the wax pattern is very cool. If you love this band and this album, you have to have this in your collection. Kudos to Girder and the team.

Excellent pressing!

The pressing sounds great - really clean and quiet. The mastering job is well done and really treats the music well. Girder's prep of the art is fantastic. The colors are great, and the lines are clean on the cover, labels, inner sleeve, and the poster. Really pleased that the outer sleeve is sized to easily allow the record to be inserted or removed. Fantastic job. This has all been the case for all of Girder's Petra vinyl represses I have purchased (Never Say Die! through Beat The System).
