Daniel Band, ran out of time.

Canadas Daniel Band released their debut album On Rock in late 1981 and it hit the Christian Rock world like an Atom bomb upon its release. As back in 1980. There wasn’t really any band in Christian rock that embodied the mainstream hard rock sound of the late 70s in the way they did. While vocally the band drew comparisons to Rush, musically their style of hard rock with a touch of metal they were more in line with bands like April Wine,BTO,Starz,UFO, Blue Oyster Cult, and Triumph. They rocked and rocked hard and had a recognizable guitar hero in Toni Rossi. However by the time Running Out Of Time, their 5th and final album it was apparent to many fans and listeners that the bands creative spark had waned a bit. This album doesn’t break any new ground and to me when I listen to it I feel like I have heard it all before. There doesn’t seem to be any passion or fire in the songs or guitar solos like in the past albums. So while the album is still good,to me it’s not great. However I do feel it's worth owning,as we all hear music with different ears. So to some it may not be great, but to others it might be fantastic and their favorite album from the Daniel Band. So if you are a fan, you won’t go wrong buying it.
