DESCRIPTION
Frank Boxberger returns with Higher Vision, the highly anticipated follow-up to his 2024 album Perfect Vision, once again teaming up with legendary Kansas vocalist John Elefante for another phenomenal collection of AOR-driven melodic progressive rock. Featuring Elefante on six songs, Higher Vision delivers everything fans of classic Kansas, Mastedon, and melodic rock love: soaring vocals, powerful guitars, rich keyboards, unforgettable melodies, and sophisticated progressive arrangements. Boxberger, an accomplished multi-instrumentalist who plays guitar, bass guitar, Chapman Stick, and keyboards, previously co-wrote Elefante's solo album The Amazing Grace, establishing a musical partnership that continued with Perfect Vision, an album that received a 75% rating from Angelic Warlord. Now that partnership returns with Higher Vision, another outstanding collection of songs that combines classic AOR sensibilities with progressive rock influences and meaningful spiritual themes. Inspired by Colossians 3:2, the album encourages listeners to look beyond the temporary material things of this world and focus on the eternal perspective of the spiritual realm. The first 300 CDs include 14 songs, featuring TWO EXCLUSIVE BONUS TRACKS, "Nevermore" and "The Answer," that will NOT be included on future pressings. Packaged in a premium 6-panel wallet CD and released by Girder Records, this special first edition is a must-have for fans of exceptional AOR, melodic progressive rock, and the unmistakable voice of John Elefante.
Frank Boxberger had this to say:
Working with John Elefante on this album was a true lesson in itself. I was inspired by the way he approacheseach song and brings out its very best—musically, melodically, and lyrically. I believe we’ve created an album thatspeaks to listeners and reminds them that they’re not alone—that they have a loving Creator who will never leavethem or forsake them.
